About NextGEN New Year’s Meditation Retreat
This 4-day retreat is designed for spiritually-minded adults ages 18-35ish.
The New Year’s Retreat is very different from the Summer NextGEN Retreat in that it is primarily in silence.
There will be experiential group processes designed to help you process 2018, learn tools to create your highest and best year yet in 2019 and share this experience in your NextGEN community.
We will learn different types of meditation, including chanting, singing, walking the labyrinth, counting mala beads, three-breath hug and so much more….

Saturday, December 29th, 2018
2:00 pm – 2:50 pm
Registration & Check-In
Doors will be open at 2:00 pm for check-in and registration. Check-in is mandatory so be sure to allow yourself enough time to arrive no later than 2:15 pm.
3:00 pm – 5:50 pm
Welcome Session
And so it begins …..
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Dinner
Dinner will be on-site, provided and is included. Only open to retreat attendees and retreat facilitators.
7:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Sunday Service

Arrive & Check-In

Group Meditation
Join Seaside’s members for a 20-minute group meditation.
11:00 am – 12:15 pm
Hold the Light
We will be accompanying this Sunday’s Practitioner in Holding the Light for 2nd Service.
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
Lunch
Lunch will be on-site (in the Garden, weather permitting), provided and is included. Only open to retreat attendees and retreat facilitators.

World Peace Meditation
(Optional) – On this day, each year, people all over the globe meditate together for one hour. In Pacific Standard Time this occurs at 4:00 am.
10:00 am – 12:00 pm

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Group Process 5

Siesta & Cuddles
This is a time of rest, renewal and rejuvenation. For those who would like to participate, there will be an optional cuddle puddle as well.

7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Burning Bowl Ceremony
Seaside’s annual community bowl burning ceremony lead by Rev. Dr. Christina Tillotson.

Group Process 6 & New Year’s Celebration
We will be breaking the silence at 12:00 am with a joyous celebration!
